We were given 6 months by the Frontier Lifeline Hospital to pay the cost of open heart surgery/treatment for 10 children and 2 adults from Guyana. These patients are the 6th batch and part of the Heart 2 Heart Save A Life Program. This program since 2005 has helped 55 children and 16 adults with only 2 loss of life.
Cost of surgery plus interest was US$87,452 minus deposit of US$9,312 leaves a balance
of US$73,717 to be paid by 27 dec’09. We have sent US$40,765.30 to the hospital please see below.
We are very grateful to our supporters in Guyana, USA, UK, Europe and Canada for their generous donations. We could not have done this without your kind help. We are eternally grateful. We still have US$35,000 to raise.

10 children and 2 adults from Guyana had life saving surgery/treatment at the Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai, India during June 2009. The hospital bill came up to US$83,029 and we have paid them a deposit of US$9,312. We have 6 months to pay off the balance plus interest.
Through activities
in Guyana, the UK & St Maarten we have raised a
further US$11,394.60. Please help us to meet our target as soon as
possible. There are approximately 230 children awaiting
surgery. Help us to give them a new lease of life.
The Government has not paid our bill despite the headlines nor do we wish or need them to.
We will raise the money as we have always done with hard work and take care of our obligations.
The government's help was sought and needed to get the patients to India, but the Ministry of Health
was once again unable to help the majority of patients. All of which
are poor and had no other way of affording to access their
surgery/treatment.
This Ministry gave US$11,954.00 towards helping 3 children, whose surgery came up to US23,194.00 and their tickets for 3 children and 3 mothers came up to US$13,000, this does not include visa fees, transportation, accommodation or food in the UK. This trip to india and back cost us US$37,830.92.
Kids First Fund provided all the rest of the money by fundraising in 08 & 09.
Thank you to our supporters and donors who have been able to read between the lines and the lies.
Please continue to support us so together we can make a positive difference in the lives of our children.
